The Orlando Magic was spoiled by the traditional Draft lottery on Tuesday, since it was chosen to choose first in the 2022 vintage, which will be held on June 23. Oklahoma City inherited the second pick, followed by the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings.
This is the fourth time Orlando has been awarded the top pick. He had set his sights on Shaquille O’Neal and Chris Webber in 1992 and 1993, before drafting Dwight Howard in 2004.
