Worker fell accident in mechanical parking lot! The three-dimensional mechanical parking lot of Xinsheng Park in Taipei City, Saturday (October 1) at 9 o’clock in the evening, when a worker was repairing the parking tower, it was suspected that the chain suddenly broke, causing the entire parking platform, including the vehicles and workers above it, directly from the parking lot. The worker fell from a height of 3 meters. Fortunately, the worker’s life was not in danger. At present, the Labor Inspection Office is still investigating and clarifying the exact cause of the accident.
The maintenance staff was checking the mechanical parking lot, but in an instant, the upper parking space collapsed with a “bang”, and some of the iron plates almost hit people. He was dumbfounded and ran in quickly because there was another person inside. People, get medical attention immediately.
Back at the scene of the incident, there was a million-dollar car parked in the upper parking space. After it fell, it flipped over 90 degrees and the windshield shattered, causing serious damage to the car. The million-dollar SUV next to it is only 5 centimeters away, and it will be affected.
The parking lot security guard said, “This is the first one. It’s the first time I’ve encountered it, and the first time since the parking lot started. I’ll do it for two months.”
When I actually returned to the three-dimensional parking lot of Xinsheng Park, I could see the rope next to it, and the whole thing fell down. At that time, it was because the rope was broken, which caused the entire upper iron plate to collapse.
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on the 1st. A 46-year-old worker surnamed Huang was on the upper floor of the parking lot. When repairing the lifting platform, the chain that was suspected to be supporting suddenly broke, and the person and the car fell directly from a height of 3 meters, causing the worker Hands and feet were injured, but fortunately not life-threatening. The labor inspection office also sent personnel to the site early the next morning to investigate and understand the cause of the accident.
Kang Shui-shun, director secretary of the Taipei City Labor Inspection Department, said, “Our department has already dispatched personnel to the site to conduct an inspection. If there are any deficiencies related to violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Law, we will follow the Occupational Safety and Health Law. A fine of 30,000 to 300,000 yuan will be issued.”
The steel cable in the mechanical parking lot was broken, but fortunately no casualties were caused. As for the relevant responsibility, it remains to be investigated.
