In the new town of Diamniadio (east of Dakar), the new production unit of the Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD) is almost on feet. Housed in a building of some 3,000 m2, which will include a quality control laboratory and offices, it is part of the “Africamaril” project, which should enable the IPD to distribute between 15 and 30 million doses per year. Either between three and six times more than its average production (5 to 8 million doses) until 2021, when its first plant in Dakar was placed in renovation for upgrading, in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization. health (WHO).
