On November 4, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, officially signed relevant ship delivery documents with CSSC Cruise Technology Development Co., Ltd. and its affiliated Aida Cruise Co., Ltd., and the first domestically produced large cruise ship “Aida… “Modu Hao” was named and delivered, and operational preparations were fully launched. Tickets for the maiden voyage have been on sale since September 20, and the cruise is expected to make its maiden voyage on January 1, 2024.
The naming and delivery of the first domestically produced large-scale cruise ship marks that my country has become a country that has gathered the “three pearls” of the shipbuilding industry and can simultaneously build aircraft carriers, large-scale liquefied natural gas carriers, and large-scale cruise ships. At the naming and delivery ceremony, Fan Jinshi, winner of the national honorary title of “Outstanding Contributor to Cultural Relics Protection” and honorary president of the Dunhuang Academy, served as the ambassador for the launch of China’s first large-scale cruise ship, naming the “Ada·Magic City” and launching the champagne bottle throwing present.
