The PlayStation VR2 helmet already has a design, only its release on the market is missing | TECHNOLOGY

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) published this Tuesday the first images of its next-generation headset, PlayStation VR2, with which it intends to revolutionize the market by offering an even more real and immersive experience when experiencing its games in virtual reality.

All that remains is for SIE to announce the final date of its launch. What is clear is that, pending the final touches by the game development team, both the VR2 Sense headset and controllers are almost ready to go on sale, with a design inspired by the aesthetics of the PS5 and with several nuances that improve the performance of the first PS VR helmet.

“For the VR2 helmet we have worked especially on comfort by adding new features, such as a regulator that allows you to adjust the distance between the lenses to align them with your eyes and optimize vision. We have also reduced the size and weight of the design, even adding a new integrated motor for helmet feedback.

This is joined by a new design of the ventilation grille that allows air to circulate and thus prevents the lenses from fogging up while gaming.

“I worked on numerous design concepts to achieve this, and in the final design there is a slight gap between the top and front surfaces of the scope; that’s where the integrated ventilation is,” says Yujin Morisawa, senior art designer at SIE

Some improvements that add to the strengths of that PS VR such as the adjustable headband with which it was possible to balance the weight of the case, the adjustable visor that can be moved closer or further from the face or the location of the stereo headphone jack with the so that it looks familiar.

In addition, the PS VR2 system has many exciting new features, including 4K HDR visual fidelity, cutting-edge graphical rendering, enhanced tracking capabilities such as inside-out tracking, PlayStation VR2 Sense technologies such as feedback on the headset and the new and intuitive PS VR2 Sense controller, which generates an incredibly deep sense of immersion.

In addition, the PS VR2 system offers an easy setup with a single cable that allows you to start playing instantly.
