In the past, M.me Deblois notably asserted on Twitter that Islam is a “totalitarian religion” and that one day “the French will have to choose between Islam and death”, reports the daily. The Press this morning.

Announced on Wednesday, his candidacy was withdrawn late Thursday, at the end of the evening.

“The comments made by Anne DeBlois are unacceptable and incompatible with liberal values. She will therefore not be a candidate in the 2022 elections for our political party. A few months earlier, she promised herself to go and vote in the municipal elections to “give the following message to the entire political class: no more major projects on the backs of the population”. “I will make it a personal fight,” she wrote.

In February, she directly challenged Dominique Anglade on Twitter, suggesting that the liberal leader was misinformed in this file.

«Mme Anglade, in heaven’s name! If you had followed the file from the start, you would be the first to think that the Prime Minister had good reasons to act as he did, ”she said when we learned that the Legault government wanted to amputate certain sections. .

Third link

On the Quebec-Lévis tunnel, Mme Deblois was also at odds with his new political formation.

Dominique Anglade describes as a “hole in the river”, the project of 3e link and promises to instead invest the planned billions of dollars in infrastructure for the areas of health and education.

Anne Deblois, she said on Twitter in February 2021: “The 3e bond has been due for at least 50 years.
