Bring home the Vidocq prize (or almost). This Monday at Littlethis trophy rewarding the best French detective series of the past year was awarded, as part of the festival mania seriesto invisible. The six episodes of the first season were filmed in Lille and in other towns in Hauts-de-France such as Lambersart, Roubaix, Seclin or Tourcoing.
The Invisibles recounts the investigations of a brigade investigating unidentified corpses. Team members have seven days to put names to these bodies and piece together their respective stories. Beyond this period, if they remain anonymous, the remains will end up in the indigent square: in other words, in the common grave.
Broadcast in September on France 2, this mini-series was followed on average by 3.94 million viewers. A success that earned him to be renewed for a second season.
A prize created by the prefect of Hauts-de-France
The Invisibles succeeds Laetitia, the mini-series by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade on the murder of Laëtitia Perrais, winner of the Vidocq prize. This award was created in 2019 on the initiative of Michel Lalande, prefect of Hauts-de-France, and the regional director of cultural affairs (Drac).
The jury is each year composed of members of the internal security forces anda reader of The voice of the North. Under the skin and Trauma were awarded in 2019 and 2020.
