The Pope in St. Peter’s Square for Palm Sunday

Pope Francis has arrived in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican for Palm Sunday Mass, which will kick off Easter celebrations. This the day following he left a hospital in the Italian capital to treat bronchitis.

The 86-year-old pontiff gave a brief wave to the crowd as he moved through the square in his popemobile. He displayed a serious air, before celebrating this ceremony in front of 30,000 people.
