In their research paper, University of Chicago scientists indicated that this food substance activates immune cells in the body, which in turn fight malignant tumors.

Scientists explained that this food substance is vaxin acid, known as “TVA,” which is a long-chain fatty acid found in meat and dairy products, especially in ruminant animals such as sheep and cows.

The study reported that this acid enhances the process of destroying certain types of cancer cells, especially lymphoma, and it has been proven that patients who have higher levels of “TVA” in their blood respond better to immunotherapy.

Scientists reached these results after testing 255 nutritional elements, 6 of which were tested on a number of mice, until they found the effect of TVA on activating some T cells that fight cancer.

This acid has proven its effectiveness during experiments on mice with skin and colon cancer.

Despite these results, scientists advised against consuming meat in excessive quantities, as it increases the chances of developing colorectal and breast cancer.
