“Lebanon Debate”

In its session today, the Council of Ministers exceeded the powers of the President of the Republic, as it rejected 3 laws that the Prime Minister had prevented from publishing following referring them to the Council for signature.

Education Minister Abbas Al-Halabi confirmed the laws to the House of Representatives, and explained that “the Council of Ministers is carrying out its full powers.”

And that rejecting laws is within the powers of the President of the Republic, and it is not permissible for the Council to violate them? He replied: “Let the person harmed by the rejection of the laws go to appeal.”
