The President of Al-Azhar University inaugurates a training course for international students on maternal and child health

Dr. Muhammad Al-Mahrasawi inaugurated, President of Al-Azhar University Training Course For incoming students One of the religious colleges in the State of Somalia on maternal and child health, which is organized by the International Islamic Center for Population Studies and Research at Al-Azhar University.

He explained the keenness of the Al-Azhar Foundation, both in the university and under the leadership of the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; To pay attention to the health of women and children locally, regionally and internationally.

The opening of the training course organized by the International Islamic Center for Population Studies and Research at Al-Azhar University, in cooperation with the Islamic advisory team, was attended by Dr. Islamic Research, and Dr. Shukri Abdel Hamid, Deputy Director of the Center.

Al-Mahrasawy explained that the center’s efforts in raising awareness of health risks and societal challenges are written in light by history, pointing out that the center provides community services in the interest of sustainable development and achieving Egypt’s 2030 vision locally, regionally and internationally.

He stated that the center’s efforts were internationally appreciated; Where Dr. Jamal Abu Al-Sorour, Director of the Center at the United Nations Building in the United States of America, was honored in 2013 as the best research center in the world.

The university president told the trainees from the sister country of Somalia: “You are ambassadors for Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in your country,” pointing out that we are all fighting the battle of awareness and we must arm ourselves with the weapon of science, noting that wars in the past were military and then developed into an economic siege, and then the matter developed after that. for fourth and fifth generation wars; Therefore, we must all be aware of the dangers that surround us as a result of this technological development by confronting rumors and confronting them forcefully, and not being drawn into behind them, especially as they seek to destroy societies, demolish values ​​and abuse symbols.

He also added that science calls us to take the reasons and adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures to confront the Corona pandemic by taking the vaccine. During treatment and surgical operations for long periods in vain, while the state provides free vaccination against this disease.

At the end of the meeting, the trainees from the sisterly State of Somalia expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Al-Azhar Foundation, a university and a university headed by the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mahrasawi, President of the University, and the International Islamic Center for Population Studies and Research at Al-Azhar University headed by Dr. Jamal Abu Al-Surour; for these efforts being made to serve sister societies in the continent of Africa, and they demanded the expansion of holding such training courses; To maximize the benefit to the largest possible number of citizens in brotherly countries to face societal challenges that impede comprehensive economic growth within these societies.
