Al-Khelaifi explained the club’s position by stating: “But with all due respect, we are a French club. The president stressed the importance of maintaining respect for France and its national team in this context.
Regarding the conflict that PSG had with Kylian Mbappé at the beginning of the season, Al-Khelaifi also expressed his opinion. «All the problems we have had remain in the family and Kylian is part of it«, he mentioned.
Furthermore, he supported the French forward by stating: «I am proud of what he does. “We have the best player in the world and for me he deserves the Ballon d’Or.”
