His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazwani, today, Friday, after performing the rituals of Eid Al-Fitr prayers, made a field visit to both the Maternity and Childhood Hospital in Laksar, and the National Hospital in the center of the capital, in order to treat the sick and greet them, and to offer them a helping hand on this day. blessed.
His Excellency the President of the Republic was keen that this special visit be of a social and humanitarian nature rather than being routine and limited to inspecting the conditions of fake hospitals.
The National Hospital was chosen on the basis of its large size and seniority, as well as its inclusive national character, which made citizens come to it from all states to receive treatment and health services.
The Maternity and Childhood Hospital was also chosen because it is a specialized center that provides health services directed mainly to the benefit of mothers and children, as they are the most vulnerable elements of society.
During this visit, dozens of patients were able to interact directly with His Excellency the President of the Republic, who was keen to greet them, and to ask about their conditions, care for them, and provide them with assistance.
This visit was marked by the provision of financial assistance by His Excellency the President of the Republic, represented in the amount of one hundred thousand old ounces for each of the forty patients who were included in the field visit.
His Excellency also gave his direct instructions for the purpose of benefiting the most needy and least able patients from the health insurance cover by registering them in a timely manner in the health insurance system, and benefiting them immediately from the benefits it gives to patients.
This visit is the first of its kind in our country in terms of the keenness of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazwani, to make it away from the limelight and in the complete absence of traditional press coverage, in addition to its timing, which coincides with the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, which is what the hospital inmates valued and expressed. Their satisfaction with such a gesture, which they described as generous and unique, as well as its psychological and material repercussions on the beneficiary patients and their companions.
His Excellency the President of the Republic, during his tour of some of the wards of the two hospitals, was accompanied by the Minister of Health, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Dahi, the Director of the Court of the President of the Republic, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, and the Director General of State Protocols, Mr. El Hassan Ould Ahmed.
