During the council of Thursday, May 4, 2023, the Prime Minister spoke about the call to demonstrate launched by the living forces of Guinea. Dr. Bernard Goumou said he was surprised to hear this and again invited the FVG to a fraternal dialogue.

According to the minister spokesperson for the government, Ousmane Gaoual Diallo, the Prime Minister is surprised to see the actors of the active forces calling for new demonstrations when they had pledged to meet again in 10 days to examine the points raised. The FVG announced their withdrawal from the dialogue and a series of demonstrations, which surprised the Prime Minister.

Despite this, the Prime Minister remains attentive to the living forces and keeps his hand outstretched for an important and fraternal dialogue. Ousmane Gaoual Diallo indicated that the head of government would contact the various actors to see to what extent the dialogue could continue and allow the outcome of the discussions.

The living forces have already declined the routes of their peaceful marches scheduled for May 10 and 11 in Greater Conakry. According to our information, even the information letters were sent to the authorities of the communes crossed. It remains to be seen whether, this time again, the FVG will give up their demonstrations to give a last chance to the junta led by Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya.
