Ouagadougou, August 26, 2022 (AIB)- Burkinabe Prime Minister Albert Ouédraogo bowed Friday evening over the remains of Pastor Samuel Yaméogo (80), paying tribute to a worthy son of Burkina Faso who fought for society. and for the Evangelical Church.

“Our country has just lost one of its worthy sons, Pastor Samuel Yaméogo. Multidimensional personality, he will have been great fights for the development and the blooming of the populations.

His commitment within the Evangelical Church and our society have forged in him the image of a man very attached to his country and to the well-being of his community.

He thus played a major role in the promotion of peace, social cohesion and living together in Burkina Faso.

After a life so well accomplished, and at the moment when he joins his servant, I would like, on behalf of the President of Faso (Paul Damiba) and the Government of the Transition, to pay him a vibrant tribute.

I offer my most heartfelt condolences to his biological and spiritual families. Rest in peace, Pastor Samuel Yaméogo!”, wrote the Prime Minister in the condolence book.

As a reminder, Pastor Samuel Yaméogo, former president of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME), died on Friday August 19, 2022 at the age of 80.

He also served as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission during the 1998 election.
