The PS5 Pro and the new Xbox Series X confirmed by a large high-tech group

For several months, rumors have swelled around the new models of PS5 and Xbox Series X. Two years ago already, Sony did not exclude the idea of being able to have intermediate consoles like with the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X in the previous generation. With the Covid-19 crisis and the significant shortages, it seems that the manufacturers are already starting work on the new consoles. Recently, a large high-tech group confirmed this during a press conference.

It was during its last press conference that the TCL Technology group ignited the room, but also, and above all, the web. During his presentation, when discussing televisions, the firm released a slideshow to talk about compatibility with video game consoles. TCL did a little recap of previous generations of consoles, but also showed us the future.

Indeed, we can see that the 9.5 generation is present on the screen, with the “new Xbox Series X/S” and the “PS5 Pro”. Of course, it is impossible to know if the TCL group is speculating or if they have information. What is still curious is that the company does not just list the machines. The firm exhibits an exit period (2023 or 2024) and even characteristics.

Thus, according to TCL, the new intermediate consoles should be much more powerful with the possibility of displaying 2160p (4K) at 60 or 120FPS (frames per second), and 8K (in gameplay). We could then count on an AMD RX 7700 XT GPU (or equivalent).

Of course, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt, as the TCL group could simply be speculating. On the other hand, since the end of 2020, more and more clues seem to confirm that Sony and Microsoft are already starting to prepare the sequel. Recently, AMD validated that they were preparing new chips for the next consoles and several sources confirmed the existence of a PS5 Pro or a new xbox.
