The return of the Alouettes’ annual hospital visit

It was in the company of the coaching staff, members of senior management, as well as team cheerleaders that the Alouettes players simultaneously visited children hospitalized in Sainte-Justine, at the Montreal Children’s Hospital , as well as the Shriners Hospital for Children. For the occasion, the Touché mascot accompanied the players, as they handed out gifts and signed autographs.

The dynamic Édouard Tremblay, who can be seen surrounded by his parents, Sébastien Tremblay and Mélanie Girard, as well as Alouettes player Walter Fletcher, wanted to thank the Alouettes, Russell Martin and NHL referee Justin St-Pierre for their wonderful keepsake gifts.

Mario Cecchini, President and CEO of the Alouettes, is surrounded by Nick Usher, Tyrice Beverette, Alexandre Gagné and Taku Lee.

Michelle Deschambault and her daughter, Florence, met cheerleaders.

Régis Cibasu stopped to greet young Jordan and Stephanie.

This week, young Theo, who yesterday celebrated his 4th month of birth, had a short discharge from the hospital for the first time. Théo and his parents, Michèle Boissonneault and Mathieu Trahan, are with Jamar McGloster.

For one of the rare occasions, I accepted to be photographed in my column, because I might not refuse the request of Édouard Tremblay, from Alma, who suffered a serious back injury. I can assure you that our tears were of joy and not of sadness when we shouted “Good evening, she’s gone!” for his favorite player, Vladimir Guerrero.
