The former president of the Nation and former governor of San Luis Adolfo Rodríguez Saá exposed “political discrepancies” that go through his relationship with his brother, the current governor, Alberto, and slipped that their relationship is irreconcilable. He told the press while the province of San Luis held elections this Sunday to elect governor and vice, senators and provincial deputies, municipal mayors and councilorswith the Ley de Lemas and with the particularity that the surname Rodríguez Saá was not on any of the ballots.

When he went to vote after noon, Adolfo Rodríguez Saá, who supports the candidacy of Claudio Poggi, an opponent of his brother Alberto, the current governor, exposed the differences between them, linked to “political discrepancies” that they cannot settle. Likewise, he questioned the management of his family before the Executive in San Luis and assured that he was thrown out of the Justicialista Party.

Without the Rodríguez Saá, San Luis lives a “rare” election: “It is a vote of freedom,” said Claudio Poggi

“Unfortunately the political discrepancies that we have are very serious,” said Adolfo Rodríguez Saá. “Because of having the best province, the one that caused a sensation, the one that we said ‘is another country’… We had the best indicators, we started in 1983 at the bottom and we were at the top of the table in all the indicators of all the organisms, the best in the country. Now we are in the worst places.”

The former president – who supports the “Cambia San Luis” front – criticized the current governor when he spoke of the “extremely serious” and “painful” situation of poverty. “This is the difference. For that reason we are on different paths.”

The current governor, who cannot be re-elected because he has already served two consecutive terms, announced that he will retire from politics this year. In statements to the press after casting his vote, he acknowledged that his relationship with his brother is “distant.” “It hurts to see him in front, he is a huge leader, his story does not deserve to be in the place it is,” he said.

Osvaldo Jaldo voted in Tucumán and was confident: “They have already seen me govern”

The province of San Luis held elections in which 418,689 citizens are empowered to elect 162 positions, among which are those of governor and lieutenant governor; 17 municipalities with their respective deliberative councils; 21 deputies and five provincial senators, in elections that will be held through the Lema de Lemas system, reinstated last year.

Although the brothers Alberto and Adolfo Rodríguez Saá did not run, they played in favor of the two main coalitions: The official front “Union for San Luis”, with the support of the governor, Alberto, had as its main sub-motto “Celeste unity”which presents the formula formed by the former judge of the San Luis Superior Court of Justice Jorge Fernandez together with the national senator Eugenia Catalfamo for governor and vice, respectively.

On the opposite sidewalk was “Cambia San Luis”, whose main slogan “Advance” is represented by the national deputy Claudio Poggi and by the lawyer Ricardo Endiza. On this same opposition front, the sub-motto “Multisectoral Meeting” presents Eduardo Mones Ruiz as a candidate for governor, accompanied by Marcelo Rodas for vice.
