Al-Marsad Newspaper: Journalist Abdullah Bajad Al-Otaibi said that Saudi Arabia has won the battle against terrorism, and its laws are declared and applied to everyone without distinguishing between the different sects.
Al-Otaibi explained, during an interview with the “Al-Arabiya” TV channel: “The Saudis are a believing people, and their various segments, sects and orientations condemn the terrorist act because they know Islam in an easy and simple way, so they know that this terrorist, whether Sunni or Shiite, is completely contrary to the Islamic religion that they know.”
He added: There is also the unity of confrontation by the state, and the unity of condemnation by society. This unity made it difficult for any penetration of this society or striking the fabric of national unity.
Regarding the Kingdom’s role in combating terrorism without discrimination between sects, Al-Otaibi said: The Kingdom is a country that stands as one for everyone who commits terrorist crimes, whether his background is Sunni, Shiite or other sects, even if his background is not related to religion.
And he added: It has declared laws that reject those who harm its stability and security, and it has declared laws that apply to everyone equally, continuing, “Praise be to God, we have won our battle against terrorism.”
