Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, revealed the details of the route of the second line of the high-speed train, scheduled to start from October until Abu Simbel.

The Minister said, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Ahmed Moussa on the “On My Responsibility” program, broadcast on the “Sada El Balad” channel, today, Wednesday, that the second line of the high-speed train starts from October 6 and departs west of the desert road, passing through the Al-Ayat, Beni Suef and Fayoum stations until arriving. Abu Simbel is scheduled to be completed within 4 years.

He pointed out that the cars of the second line of the high-speed train are being manufactured, noting that the Abu Simbel station will be a wonderful station, with a tourist and hotel village, adding that the return from the high-speed train project has begun since the beginning of its implementation, and the number of workers in the Ministry of Transport projects reaches 2 million workers. And an engineer, we have a clear directive from President Sisi to localize industries and reduce exports. We used to import flanges. We now have 6 flange factories, in addition to manufacturing steel plates and the insides of trains and buses.

He explained that international companies in the field of railways, including the French company Allison and Talgo, are now keen to establish factories in Egypt, especially in the Burj Al Arab region, noting that for the first time, one million tons of railway tracks will be produced annually in Egypt starting next December, continuing: “ We have 102 companies, including 99 private sector companies, working on our projects.”
