There was already a lot of talk beforehand Lewis Hamilton signed a new two-year contract with Mercedes in May 2023.
Hamilton himself commented on his future a bit cryptically by stating that he would be lying if he hadn’t considered ending his career in a car other than a Mercedes.

“I’ve been thinking and watching the Ferrari drivers on the TV screens at the tracks, and it’s clear that I’ve been thinking about what it would be like to drive something red,” Lewis Hamilton himself commented on his future a bit cryptically.
New contract
In any case, it was a two-year contact with Mercedes, but with an opening to be able to leave the company at the end of 2024.
And now rumor has it that there will be a change.
According to Sky News Hamilton is now said to take his place in “a red” until the 2025 season. He then replaces Carlos Sainz as driver and form teams with Charles Leclercwho just signed for another few years for Ferrari.
