Viennese cuisine is surprisingly poor in summer dishes. I don’t know if it’s because there was simply no summer in the past or if the desire for summery food is a modern one – I can hardly think of anything except sour sausage and apricot dumplings. Because I’m skeptical regarding sour sausage, but love apricot dumplings, Heinrich S. and I started our holiday experiments with it.
