BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — Official data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that China’s IT and software services industry maintained double-digit growth in terms of revenue and profits in the first seven months of 2023.
According to the ministry, the sector’s profits reached 737.4 billion yuan (regarding 102.72 billion US dollars) during the period, up 13.4 percent over the same period last year.
The sector’s combined revenue reached 6.46 trillion yuan during the period, up 13.6 percent year on year.
Specifically, revenue from cloud computing and big data services rose 16.2 percent year on year to 640.9 billion yuan, while revenue from information and technology services for e-commerce platforms rose 7.7 percent year on year to 570.7 billion yuan during the same period.
