The Egyptian singer Amr Diab topped the electronic search engines, after deleting all his albums produced by his own company, called “Nai”, over the past 7 years, from all audio and digital platforms on the Internet, and staying only on songs and concert clips produced by other music companies. The pioneers of social media platforms wondered about the reason for this sudden move by the most famous artist in the Arab world, and there were conflicting statements about his retirement from singing, or the occurrence of a technical glitch in his official channel.
And the Egyptian media, Mamdouh Moussa, revealed to Al-Ittihad that the circulating news about Amr Diab’s retirement from singing is inaccurate and far from the truth, adding that he is preparing tomorrow to revive a concert in Saudi Arabia as part of the activities of the Riyadh season, in addition to a number of concerts around the world in the coming period. And about deleting his songs from his official YouTube channel, Moussa explained that Amr Diab is in the process of his own technical project that collects all his artistic releases, whether albums or concerts produced by his own company, and has all the exclusive and digital rights to it.
Meanwhile, sources close to the Egyptian artist told Al-Ittihad that he is about to launch a digital platform for the artistic content presented by the Egyptian artist, under the name “SOUL”, and the brand appeared for it during his concert, which he held at Al-Manara Theater on February 11.
And the fact that Amr Diab’s songs were deleted from the YouTube video site is not the first in his artistic career, as the site’s management withheld all his songs 3 times, the first in 2015, because he did not have the exclusive rights to 15 albums, during which he cooperated with the Delta Voice Company, and in the same year the site’s management blocked Also, 5 albums collaborated with the company “Alam Al Fan”, which currently bears the name “Mazzika” for the same first reason.
And the second time, after his legal dispute with the Rotana Audio and Video Company during 2014, and the company demanded to withhold all of its songs, in which it cooperated with him for 10 years, during which he presented 7 albums.
And the third time in 2016, when he released the album “All My Life”, which was produced by his own company known as “Nai”, so that the management of the video site withheld his entire songs, so that Amr Diab presented all the papers because he possessed all the exclusive and digital rights to the album’s songs as producer and singer.
