The largest employer in France and already using artificial intelligence before ChatGPT in more than a hundred situations, the State does not want to miss out on the new wave of generative software like ChatGPT. A year following the emergence of the famous conversational robot, various administrative cogs have seized the underlying technology of language models to launch experiments.

“We have to go, the only thing we have no right to do is to suffer,” recalled the Minister of Transformation and Public Service on Tuesday, December 12 during a meeting of developers public and private interested in the needs of the State in this area. The first tests confirm Stanislas Guérini, who is particularly satisfied with the “Public Service +” program. Nearly 1,000 volunteer agents from the CAF, old-age insurance and health insurance participated, relying on suggestions from the AI ​​in drafting responses to user reviews. In two months, they report having shortened the response time to three days compared to thirteen previously, while improving the quality of the text.
