The “Status Spokesperson” answers • Al-Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The official spokesman for Civil Status, Muhammad Al-Jasser, explained that the veil for women in the national identity is mandatory.

During an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel, he said that a man’s commitment to the Saudi dress, i.e. wearing the dress and shemagh, is a prerequisite for national identity, just as the woman wears the hijab.

He pointed out that the new version will have the name in Arabic and English. He added that changing the image is done by reviewing the civil status offices.
