Nina Pachulky, 27, was found dead in her apartment on Saturday the police to her Wisconsin apartment at 11 a.m. following worried friends called 911 to tell them she was threatening to kill herself.
The death of the American anchor comes just six weeks before her marriage to her fiancé, Kyle Haas, who is a divorced father of two children 11 years older than her.
Although they lived together in the same house, Haas, 38, was not home at the time of his death.
In an influential Facebook post, Haas wrote: "I know she is no longer in pain and I am grateful for that. Nina, I love you more than you can understand. You were my best friend and my whole world. I’m so sorry I mightn’t save you".
In addition to her successful career in the media, Nina was an exemplary young woman, star of the high school basketball team, as well as a valedictorian.
Nina’s best friend, Ally Peters, revealed that Nina was suffering from "severe depression"despite her happiness in the workplace and with her fiancé.
