The Ministry of Production and Agroindustry of Río Negro declared an Emergency and/or Agricultural Disaster due to drought, through Decree No. 842/23, at the provincial level, and MEC Resolution No. 1482 at the national level. A measure that seeks to respond “to care and preservation of the health of livestock productionespecially from cows that, after giving birth, experience a greater nutritional demand due to the lactation of the calves,” they detailed.
The idea is that with this tool we can counteract the scenario that occurs in livestock production in the Rio Negro territory and where the implementation of early weaning is recommendeda measure that reduces the nutritional requirements of mothers.
In this sense An investment in food is proposed for the correct supplementation of calveswith a part of this operation financed by the State and another contributed by the producer himself.
This strategy “seeks to provide crucial support to livestock producers in Río Negromitigating the adverse effects of drought in the agricultural sector and contributing to the sustainable recovery of livestock activity in the region,” they reported from the productive portfolio.
Financing for early weaning
This line is intended for the purchase of food for early weaning of livestock production with establishments that implement this practice.
El fFinancing is up to $3,000,000, at a rate of up to $60,000 for each calf to be weaned. Payment is made to the producer by bank transfer to an account in his name.
Guarantee is understood to be the mutual contract, promissory note and commitment to allocate the treasury to the project, with amortization of 1 installment, to be paid within 6 (six) months of taking the financing and 30% annual interest (to be prorated in depending on the duration of the credit), with administrative expenses of 3%.
