STREAM – the Linz music festival of a special kind – is turning five this year and reinventing itself, as it should be: instead of at the annual market, this year the festival will take place in the city center from May 18th to 20th – including in the inner courtyard of the art university and on Pfarrplatz .
STREAM walks in the footsteps of digitization in the music world and deals with contemporary music creation, future issues and current issues. The dynamic, urban music format with the new locations and two open-air stages in the city center is intended to appeal to an urban, young audience, according to the initiator and stream initiator, City Councilor Doris Lang-Mayerhofer.
