However, instead of banishing their offspring to a room or corner when they go overboard, the royal couple are said to be using a different technique — a so-called “sofa talk.”
“The naughty child will be taken away from the scene of the argument or disturbance and approached calmly by either Kate or William,” the palace insider explains. “Things are explained and consequences outlined, and they never yell at them.”
The couple’s strict upbringing style is probably no coincidence: While Prince William is prepared from an early age for his role as future king, Catherine is said to have been raised with strictness by her mother Caroline Middleton. According to a royal expert, the ambitious Carole Middleton raised her daughter Catherine to perfectionism.
Although William and Kate have the help of a nanny, the couple prefer to raise their children themselves. The couple bring their children to school and pick them up themselves.
