The TEC Genson Depot: Drivers Protest Deteriorating Working Conditions and Unpaid Salaries

2023-10-12 15:48:47

No bus left the TEC Genson depot, in Charleroi, this Thursday morning following a spontaneous outburst. The cause is deteriorating working conditions, which explains the drivers who participate in the action. The significant number of sick people among Carole drivers – 22% – has repercussions on those who are on duty.

Anger is also fueled by problems allegedly occurring with the payment of salaries. Some drivers were not paid enough or on time.

The management condemns this movement

Several lines are therefore not served this Thursday morning, specifies the TEC on its website : these are lines 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 28, 29, 35, 62, 154, 155, 156, 158, 172, 710 , 12b, City bus, M4ab and MIDO City Docherie-Charleroi.

The management of the TEC strongly condemns this movement, it believes that it traps users and that it does not respect social dialogue. The Jumet and Anderlues depots are not at a standstill this morning.
