The Vivo X80 Pro+ will be Vivo’s most premium smartphone in 2021, and this one is shaping up to be a real powerhouse. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, supported by up to 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED E5 LTPO 2.0 120Hz display, and will be powered by a battery compatible with the 66 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless.

On the photo side, the device relies on a 4-camera configuration. We will find a 50 MP main sensor of 1/1.3 inch, a captor 48 MP IMX598 ultra-wide angle, a 50MP JN1 telephoto lens offering 2X optical zoom as well as a 50 MP JN1 periscope offering 5X optical zoom. The selfie part will also be provided by a 50 MP sensor. There will also be a homemade ISP “V1” to improve the quality of the shots, and the smartphone will be certified IP68.

The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro rely on MediaTek processors

The Vivo X80 Pro isn’t much different from the top-end model. The latter is propelled by a SoC MediaTek Dimensity 9000, the direct competitor of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but this time is limited to 512 GB of storage. We find at the front the same screen and the same battery, but the smartphone presents some changes on the photo part. Indeed, the Vivo X80 Pro replaces the sensor ultra wide-angle by a 50 MP JN1, the telephoto by a 12 MP IMX663 and the selfie sensor by a 44 MP camera.

For its part, the Vivo X80 relies on a chip MediaTek Dimensity 8000, a smaller 6.56-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED 120Hz display, and up to 256 GB of storage. The battery is limited to 55 W for wired charging, and wireless charging is missing. The photo part is provided by 3 sensors, including a 50 MP main GN5, a 13 MP OV13B10 ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 12 MP IMX663 telephoto lens. A 44 MP camera is housed in a punch-hole on the front.

The Vivo X80 Pro + will be marketed from 5499 yuan (759 euros) in China, and we do not know for the moment if it will arrive one day in Europe. The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro are more affordable, and start at 3,699 yuan (511 euros) and 4,599 yuan (635 euros) respectively, according to the technical sheet revealed on Weibo. While waiting for their official presentation, you can discover one of its main competitors in the Vivo X80 range, the OnePlus 10 Pro, which launched last week.
