The tennis tournament in Miami ended with Sinner’s confident success

Jannik Sinner easily beat Grigor Dimitrov in the men’s final of the hard court tournament in Miami on Sunday.

The Italian player, who won the Australian Open, broke the serve of his Bulgarian opponent four times, while Dimitrov only had one break point in the entire match. The one-sided clash lasted just 74 minutes.

The 22-year-old Sinner was playing in his third final in the Florida city, but fell short in 2021 and last year to lift the trophy for the first time. In addition to the tournament victory, he could also be happy that he came to second place in the world ranking ahead of Carlos Alcaraz from Spain. Sinner’s great form is also shown by the fact that he started in four tournaments this year, won three of them, and won 22 of his 23 matches, only losing to Alcaraz in the semifinals of Indian Wells.

Dimitrov, who has been experiencing a renaissance for 32 years, could take solace in the fact that by reaching the final, after 2018, he was once again among the top ten players in the world rankings.

Result, men’s final:
Sinner (Italian, 2nd)-Dimitrov (Bulgarian, 12th) 6:3, 6:1
