A moment of fun in an amusement ride turned into the most terrifying experience, when the roller coaster stopped 20 meters high with several people trapped.
The incident occurred at the Adventure Island amusement park in Southend, in the United Kingdom, in the game called “The Rage”, which stopped abruptly when it was in the heights with several passengers.
The people who were trapped on top of the roller coaster had to be rescued one by one with a safety cable and experts who helped them down to the ground.
The moment in which the mechanical game got stuck in the heights was recorded on the cell phones of several witnesses who witnessed the accident. In the images you can see how the rescuers climbed up to the stuck car climbing the scaffolding of the roller coaster.
“The wagons are still stuck at the top right now, but the people are outside, they got them out one by one. They were there for at least half an hour or probably 45 minutes,” a woman told local media.
The woman added that despite the complexity of the situation, none of the trapped people became upset, on the contrary, they remained calm until rescuers arrived to help them.
The distinguishing feature of this roller coaster is its unique lift tower, which transports riders lying on their backs and sends them into the roller coaster experience with a drop of more than 90°.

This is not the first time a roller coaster incident has occurred in the world; one such ride in the United States failed, leaving eight people hanging upside down.
Around 50 people had to intervene to rescue the eight trapped in the American roller coaster; fortunately everything ended well.
