During the trial for the crime of Lucio Dupuy, the 5-year-old boy murdered in La Pampa, the ordeal to which the victim was allegedly subjected by his mother and girlfriend was reconstructed. in that process the voice of more than a hundred witnesses was key who paraded through the courtroom of the Santa Rosa courts.
During the testimonials, people were heard talking about the boy starving, being tortured and that, curiously, the music in that house was always at a high volume. On this last point, the story of two neighbors allowed us to understand the reason for the noises: They did it so that the blows would not be heard and to cover up Lucio’s pleas.
One of the witnesses provided a particular piece of information, which was accompanied by chat captures. An episode that occurred on August 25, 2021, two months before the crime.
The woman said that from her room she heard the blows that Lucio received. But she, far from ignoring them, she decided to act. The neighbor wrote to her brother to help her call the police.
“Will you call the police? That I have a broken speaker. Because they are hitting the boy next door”, wrote the witness in the chat. On the other side, they told him that the police were already on their way.
“Every day he arrives from the garden and the mother’s girlfriend shits him with sticks. I hit the wall because you can hear everything from my room and in the street too”, he added.
But, it was a phrase that the young woman would have heard one of the defendants say, which ended up shocking the court. “He tells him: ‘Take off his clothes and beat him up, leave him marked because I’ll kill him’”, declared the witness.
Finally it was learned that the security agents never arrived that day.
The police chief of La Pampa, Daniel Guinchinau, clarified a few days after the murder of Lucio, that the troops did not go to the place because they had the address wrong.
The error was expressed in an official document of the pampean force. “Male requests police mobile at the request of the sister who is in apartment 2″, says the first internal communication at 18:21 on that August 25.
In the second contact between the police, at 6:45 p.m., the address is already different from the one that had been requested. The officers report that they went to a place where children do not live: “Report that at calle xxxx 2386 (the original is 2385), apartment 1 (the real one is apartment 2) a woman residing in the place was interviewed, asked about the existence of children In the complexShe herself stated that there were no children in the place”.
