The announcement of the Polyphonic Choir of Patras states:
The THEATER WORKSHOP for adults of “POLYFONIKIS” leaves on Friday for Karditsa in order to take part in the 39The Panhellenic Amateur Theater Festival of Karditsa, which takes place from March 14 to 23 at the Municipal Cinema of the city, with the co-organization of the Union of Cultural Associations of Karditsa.
The THEATER WORKSHOP of the Organization, which qualified to participate in the competition, will present the play: ILION – “TROJAN WAR”, of Nikos Gousetisfrom the “Zakynthian speeches” on stage and concerns a tongue-in-cheek satirical traditional type of theater from Zakynthos. The “Speeches” were written and performed in Zakynthos from the middle of the 17th century (time of the Venetian rule), by amateur actors, who came from the ranks of the people.
