Saturday June 17 at 8 p.m. in the performance hall, the Les Ghayssana association is organizing a new edition of the dinner-show evening, “The thousand and one oriental evenings”. This year, the association invites several groups who will present oriental dances, Sevillanas, flamenco, Arab-Andalusian dances as well as Arab-Gypsy fusion and samai, a musical composition of Turkish origin which has spread in the Mediterranean basin. “The musical richness of Arab culture having left traces in the Arabo-Andalusian, one can easily grasp echoes of the music of the Maghreb and the Orient. The association has therefore imagined a meeting through this Arabo-Andalusian universe. The goal is to explore this diversity, to promote exchange which allows the discovery of others and the sharing of cultures” indicates Oujda Kherchiche, president of the association Les Ghayssana. It also invites you to discover Les Deeses Edjo, Les sequins dansants, Al Andalus and Eclipse.
Fashion show
These dances will be done in traditional oriental outfits, through a fashion show presented by the Azamul association. The evening will close with music and dance for all to oriental, Maghreb and world music rhythms with Yassin Azouaoui and Berber singer Meryam Hamouya.
To this musical and choreographic mosaic will be added a dinner around a traditional homemade couscous, decorated with oriental pastries and mint tea.
For the Ghayssana, this Arab-Andalusian universe also opens up to the exchange and sharing of cultures. Where, according to the beautiful expression of the prehistorian Jean Guilaine, the Mediterranean is a “shared sea”.
