The TMM stabilizes at the level of 8%, during the month of August 2023

The money market rate (TMM) stabilized, during the month of August 2023, at the level of 8%, and this, for the fourth consecutive month, according to statistical data published on Friday by the Central Bank. of Tunisia (BCT).

In comparison with the last two years (2021 and 2022), this rate has increased, rising from 6.26% in August 2021, to 7.03%, in August 2022, to reach 8%, currently.

It is important to recall that the increase in money market rate is mainly due to the upward revision of the BCT’s key rate, on many occasions, in recent years, in order to cope with inflationary pressures.
