the Toyota GR86 with its predecessors

We must thank Toyota because it has decided to keep the spirit of “affordable” sports cars alive in Europe with its Toyota GR86 at a time when its main rivals (yes, we’re looking at you, Subaru y Nissan) have abandoned it. Also, seeing it in action is always a joy.

But this time the Japanese brand has gone a step further, and it has decided to take him out to play in the most ‘Japanese’ way that we can think of, drifting, and accompanied by his predecessors, making it clear that he is only the last link in a dynasty that is already quite long.

And it is that although the last one in the caravan goes, the model that attracts the most attention is the mythical Toyota AE86 from the 80s, which is recognized worldwide for being the car of the protagonist of the Initial D manga, which was later adapted into a successful anime and more recently, even into a live action movie.

In the middle circulates the Toyota GT86which returned to Toyota to the segment nearly a decade ago and laid the groundwork for its successor, a GR86 that has improved everything, achieving greater power, a more refined behavior and reaching even greater levels of driving fun.

Although the trio is spectacular, we must also highlight the work of the drone (and its pilot) that records the entire sequence, since it carries out some of the most complex maneuvers and in extreme situations, getting very close to the cars and making turns aggressive in the air.

As shown in the behind the scenes videoIt took a lot of preparation and a lot of rehearsal for it to come to fruition, but the end result speaks for itself.
