This week, the Dendermonde Court invited Kenny VdM to appear in court on March 19. Prosecuted for manslaughter, he will have to explain the facts which took place on the night of January 3 to 4, 2020.
That night, Xavier, a 36-year-old young man who still lived with his mother in Erpe-Mere, lost his life in Kenny’s home in Zwevegem. The two young men met there for the first time.

A few days earlier, explains the Laatste Nieuws, Xavier had proudly shown his mother, to whom he was very close, his future date: “Look, mom, it’s him I have an appointment with.” But this famous meeting turned into a tragedy. Selon les informations du Latest News, Xavier was drugged and tied to a bed. The suspect put a sock in his mouth and then raped him until he stopped moving. Kenny thought his victim was “sleeping” and therefore left him alone in the bedroom for an hour and a half. A fatal period during which Xavier lost his life.

The suspect recalls a “regrettable accident”: “While I was playing with Xavier, who I had attached to the bed, he suddenly became cold. I turned the heat on to him until he stopped moving. I thought he was sleeping,” he says.
Justice will have to determine what really happened that night. The trail of an argument that escalates is private.

The suspect is being prosecuted for involuntary homicide, administration of harmful substances, refusal of assistance but also for two other rapes.
