The trial of Hassan Ratib, Alaa Hassanein and others in the “Great Antiquities” case was postponed to tomorrow

The North Cairo Criminal Court of First Instance in Abbasiya decided to postpone the second hearings of the trial of businessman Hassan Rateb, former MP Alaa Hassanein, and 21 other defendants, in the case known in the media as “The Great Antiquities”, for tomorrow’s session, February 13, to hear the seventh witness and the defense witnesses.

The session was chaired by Counselor Khalil Omar Khader, and the membership of the advisors was Mustafa Rashad Ab Al Tawab, Muhammad Sharif Sabra, Awni Muhammad Matar, and the Secretariat of Muhammad Abdul Aziz and Hamdi Darwish.

The Public Prosecution had charged Hassan Ratib with financing the deputy of the jinn, Alaa Hassanein, millions of pounds and his gang to excavate and trade in antiquities.

The Public Prosecution had decided to imprison Hassan Rateb, pending investigations, and demanded prompt investigations about him, and charged him with financing Alaa Hassanein, known as “the deputy of the jinn”, with millions of pounds to excavate antiquities.

The prosecution confronted “Ratib” with the confessions of former deputy Alaa Hassanein, known as the deputy of the jinn and the demons, and included that Ratib had financed him financially in the excavations of antiquities. Alaa Hassanein on the involvement of businessman Hassan Rateb in paying millions of pounds to search for antiquities.

The security services had arrested businessman Hassan Ratib, in implementation of the Public Prosecution’s decision to seize him, after investigations conducted by the investigation authorities with former parliamentarian Alaa Hassanein, known as the deputy of the jinn and the demons, revealed that Ratib is accused of financially financing Alaa Hassanein in the excavations of antiquities.
