How does this notification customization work?
The customization of notifications allows you to modify three aspects of the notifications in WhatsApp of the users that you want, these are:
- Change notification tone. This allows you to select a specific tone for the contacts you want, in this way, every time you receive a message from said people, the ringtone will be different from the others and you will be able to identify it without having to see the cell phone, only with the sound .
- Change the vibration mode. In this case you will only have four options: Deactivated, default, short and long. In this way, if you wish, you can further customize the notifications of your contacts.
- Change LED color. With this option you can modify the color of the LED (white, red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple) of the notification of the contacts that you want, but take into account that this will be possible if your device has this feature.
How to configure notifications to know who writes to you on WhatsApp just by listening to the notification
Customizing notifications for certain people is very simple, to do so you just have to follow these steps:
- Enter the WhatsApp application on your mobile device.
- Go to the chat of the person (or group) you want to have a custom tone, vibration and/or LED color (if possible).
- Tap the person’s or group’s chat name.
- Doing so will display the chat information, the files they have shared, and a couple of options.
- You must select the “Customize notifications” option.
- When you have done so, a new menu will be displayed, where you will realize that all the options are deactivated.
- To start customizing notifications, you must select the option that is at the beginning: «Notif. Customized”, this will activate this tool.
- Once you turn this on, you’ll notice that the options to customize your chat notifications are now available for you to configure.
- As we mentioned before, there are three options that you can modify: Ringtone, vibration and light.
