Among other things Facebook pictures of a passport are circulating, according to which Barack Obama is said to have been born in Kenya. He was “a false illegitimate president” because in order to be able to hold this office, one had to be born in the United States. In fact, that’s one of the requirements for a presidential candidacy in the USA – and this is also the case with Obama.
The pictures of the passport come from a Tweet his half-brother Malik from mid-April 2023. However, the passport belonged to their father. So is about on the third photo to recognize that the passport was issued on April 29, 1959 – two years before the former US President was even born. In a subsequent Tweet then there is also a picture of the passport holder: a grown man, Barack Obama Senior, as well as his half-brother a few weeks later wrote.

The rumor about Obama’s origins came up at the time of his first candidacy in 2008, and a whole movement emerged: The «Birther» were convinced that he was not entitled to become President.

When the allegation was circulated again during his second candidacy, he demanded a complete birth certificate (Downloadlink), which was issued to him only exceptionally due to the many inquiries that the authority had received.
