Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, recently met with North Korean Defense Minister Kim Sung-nam and his delegation in Beijing. North Korean official media reported that Wang Huning said: China-North Korea friendship will never waver. However, this sentence was deleted from the Chinese Communist Party’s official media reports, and the inconsistent expressions of both parties triggered speculation from all walks of life.

On March 21, Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, met in Beijing with a delegation led by Kim Sung-nam, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Minister of the International Department. KCNA reported on the 23rd that Wang Huning told Kim Sung-nam, “No matter how the international situation changes, the strategic choice of both sides – the friendship between China and North Korea will never be shaken.” This sentence is not found in the official reports of the Chinese Communist Party. Xinhua News Agency stated that Wang Huning said that under the guidance of Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un, the traditional friendship between China and North Korea has been continuously consolidated and developed.

Li Yuanhua, a scholar in Australia, told Voice of Hope: The main reason is that the CCP has no real friendship with North Korea. “If North Korea needs money, it will do something according to the will of the CCP, and the CCP will export some blood and give it some money. Because North Korea’s economy is very bad, and the people are basically starving. Such a relationship. After Xi Jinping came to power, he ignored North Korea for a long time. After the relationship with the West became tense, he began to use North Korea as a bargaining chip, or let North Korea do some extraordinary things to attract the attention of the West. The CCP uses North Korea as a bargaining chip. It is used as a chess piece, and North Korea uses it as a financier. The two have always used each other. Why is the CCP unwilling to get too close to North Korea, including the use of words. Because now everyone also knows: North Korea is in the same state as the CCP’s Cultural Revolution. , everyone is ashamed of it. Little Pink herself is not happy to turn herself into West Korea, and the CCP itself knows this. The CCP’s economic and trade volume with South Korea is very large. And at that time, the CCP was actually stealing some of South Korea’s technologies , including electronic technology – chips. Then it obviously needs a balance between North Korea and South Korea. It is precisely because of this balance that North Korea feels that you are not trying to be good to me at all, you Just let me be a pawn. So in this case, as long as the CCP needs you, I will get closer to you, including using words to get closer. If the CCP does not need you very much, I will keep a certain distance with you. distance. So there must be a certain distance between the wording.”

Although China and North Korea are both communist dictatorships, they are also jokingly called “big brother and little brother” by the outside world. In the 1950s, when North Korea attacked South Korea, the Chinese Communist Party sent volunteers to North Korea to fight against the United States and United Nations troops. Both sides also claimed that China and North Korea were a “friendship forged in blood.” However, the relationship between the two countries subsequently went from good to bad. During the time when former CCP leader Mao Zedong was in power, the CCP and the Soviet Union had a falling out, and North Korea supported the Soviet Union.

According to the article “Crisis between China and North Korea during the Cultural Revolution” published in the first issue of 2008 of Mainland China’s “Success” magazine, during the Cultural Revolution, the Red Guards of the Chinese Communist Party threatened to overthrow the “capitalist roader” North Korean leader Kim Il-sung who “had taken refuge in the Soviet revisionists” , there was even an attack on the North Korean Embassy. When Kim Il-sung learned the news, he was furious and ordered the volunteers to smash the cemetery and smash all the tombstones of the volunteers, including the tombstone of Mao Zedong’s son Mao Anying.

The three generations of North Korea’s Kim family, from Kim Il Sung to Kim Jong Il to Kim Jong Un, are very wary of the CCP.

According to South Korean media Chosun Ilbo, former U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo said in his memoirs that in March 2018, as director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), he secretly visited Pyongyang.

When Pompeo met with Kim Jong-un, he said: “The Chinese Communist Party has always said that ‘Chairman Kim (Jong-un) will feel very happy after the US troops stationed in South Korea leave South Korea.'”

After hearing this, Kim Jong-un laughed, shouted, ‘The Chinese are all liars,’ and pounded the table excitedly. Then Kim Jong-un said: “In order to protect himself against Chinese (Chinese Communist Party) rule, he needs Americans in South Korea, and in order for the Chinese Communist Party to act like Tibet and Xinjiang treat the Korean Peninsula the same way, which is why the United States needs to withdraw its troops.”

Kim Jong-un’s mentality of being wary of the CCP is evident.

Li Yuanhua pointed out: The thinking of communism means that there is no gratitude, no true feelings, and it means endless demands.

In 2013, North Korea conducted a nuclear test, and in 2016, North Korea conducted a hydrogen bomb test. The Chinese Communist Party voted in favor of the UN Security Council resolution to expand sanctions. In 2017, China completely suspended the import of North Korean coal. The Korean Central News Agency issued an article stating that the Chinese Communist Party “should stop making unnecessary attempts to test the limits of North Korea’s tolerance”; “the current dangerous and reckless action of hacking the pillars of North Korea-China relations may have serious consequences.” On May 14, 2017, Beijing held the “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit Forum. North Korea launched a ballistic missile in the early morning, which was considered to be a deliberate provocation to the CCP.

Li Yuanhua believes: The CCP does not want North Korea to possess nuclear weapons. “Because the Communist countries know that the minds of people in Communist countries do not follow the rules. It is so close to China and it has nuclear weapons of its own, so that’s okay. If you don’t give it money in two days, it will throw a nuclear weapon at you. This is It can do all kinds of things. So its use of nuclear weapons is not a threat to Western society, nor is it a threat to Koreans alone. The biggest threat is that the CCP feels that it is a threat to me.”

In recent years, as geopolitical tensions between China and the United States have intensified, North Korea has moved closer to Russia. On September 13, 2023, Kim Jong-un met with Putin. North Korea called it a “historic meeting,” but the CCP’s response was quite cold.

Li Yuanhua said: “The Chinese Communist Party has always used North Korea as a pawn in its fight with the West, and North Korea itself knows this status. So it has relations with Russia from time to time, and then it is trying to balance it. Anyway, I have two eldest brothers, who I will kiss whoever is good to me, so that both of you are competing for my little brother. When the CCP supports the little hooligans to cause trouble, it just wants to prevent the righteous people from staring at the big hooligan like me. This is its essence. So it has nothing to do with North Korea. The relationship cannot be improved, it is just the relationship between the big hooligans taking advantage of the small hooligans. The communist country is a rogue government, it cannot make the world peaceful, it just disrupts the world!”

Defeat the biggest threat of our time and help end the CCP

The most important means used by the CCP to rule the people is deception. Maintaining large-scale broadcasts to China to continuously convey the truth is to continue to inject hope into China. Voice of Hope invites you to join us in our efforts.welcomeClickLearn more.
