The UAE continues to send aid to earthquake victims, Syria and Turkey



An Emirati plane delivers aid as part of Operation Gallant Knight 2

For the ninth day in a row, the United Arab Emirates continued to send relief aid to those affected by the earthquake in both Syria and Turkey, as part of Operation “The Gallant Knight 2”, by operating (30) cargo planes to Syria, as well as (30) cargo planes to Turkey, bringing the total number of flights to ( 60) flights so far carried (1375) tons of food and medical supplies and tents to shelter the affected people.

On the other hand, the police dog unit (K9) of the Emirati search and rescue team, in cooperation with the French rescue team, succeeded in extracting two young men in their twenties, nine days following they were under the rubble.

The UAE search and rescue teams continue their efforts to rescue those trapped under the rubble through qualitative devices and equipment in the field of search and rescue.
