This came during his visit to DEWA’s building in Al Hudaiba area, where he was received by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, ​​who reviewed DEWA’s roadmap in the field of generative artificial intelligence and its efforts to build a safe and reliable digital environment, and its projects in the field of digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications, in the presence of Eng.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama said that the UAE seeks to be a leader in the innovations of generative artificial intelligence while enabling institutions to innovate in the areas of advanced technology that contribute to the design of new solutions at an accelerated pace, indicating that generative artificial intelligence is one of the most important elements of the digital transformation journey in the country, and a key factor in bringing about a quantum leap in industries and enabling companies with unprecedented capabilities.

He stressed that the expansion of investment in the fields of generative artificial intelligence calls for strengthening cooperation with various leading authorities in the country, the continuous development of legislative frameworks related to this field and the formulation of policies and regulations to ensure the responsible use of these technologies to achieve a balance between innovation and the quality of life of society, which establishes the leadership of the UAE in adopting new and advanced technologies.

For his part, His Excellency Saeed Al Tayer said: “Our efforts are integrated to achieve the vision of the wise leadership to consolidate the UAE’s position as the capital of innovation and creativity and a center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in addition to building capabilities to meet the challenges of cybersecurity. Dubai is an incubator for creativity and a beacon for innovation within the framework of the “Dubai 10X” model, which will help governments around the world to imagine and design the future in an unconventional way.

He pointed out that the authority’s journey in using artificial intelligence began in 2017 by developing a road map to enrich the experience of customers, employees and all stakeholders, and is currently working to enrich its services with generative artificial intelligence techniques.

During the visit, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama listened to an explanation from the Authority’s officials about the “Cyber ​​Security Innovations Lab” which was designed to enable and facilitate digital transformation in the Authority by conducting research and testing on cyber security controls, exploring its horizons, upgrading its innovations and designs, and employing them in the Authority’s environment, as well as a presentation on the “Cyber ​​Security Awareness Center”, which provides a virtual environment for conducting comprehensive technical training and tests, using scenarios and tools to simulate cyber attacks and defensive mechanisms that improve the skills of the Authority’s employees. in various aspects of cybersecurity, and raise their level of awareness through virtual experiences designed to improve national skills in the field of cybersecurity.

The TRA team reviewed the most important features of the “Digital Identity Security Center”, which is the first center of its kind and is characterized by adaptive intelligence capabilities that collect data related to the TRA’s digital identity from various sources in order to proactively secure the TRA’s digital identity and enable identity and access management controls, in a way that enriches the users’ experience and ensures their safe entry into the TRA’s environment.

The data center officials for Integrated Solutions (Moro), affiliated to DEWA Digital, the digital arm of DEWA, ​​also reviewed Moro’s experience in developing digital services and smart management of data that is hosted in the latest data centers in line with the requirements of data storage and cybersecurity services in the UAE.
