AMD has a lot of… Computer processors Featured in the Ryzen 7000 lineup, but it has not yet abandoned the last-generation chipset, as evidenced by its recent announcement.

The company unveiled several new CPUs during an event in China, and while we were largely expecting AM5 chipsets at this point, we’re also seeing the previously unannounced Ryzen 5000XT series, which is good news for those who are still using AM4 motherboards and want to upgrade. But details are scarce at the moment.

There are also references to CPUs already on the market, such as the recently launched Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT, as well as older chips from the Ryzen 3000 and Athlon 3000G series.

At the moment, we don’t know anything other than the fact that AMD will launch Ryzen 5000XT CPUs, likely in the near future, as well as two new 8000 series CPUs.

The Ryzen 5000XT represents a mysterious new addition to the lineup, which shows that AMD is still not quite ready to give up on the old AM4 socket, which is great news for those who use it. This is not the first time that AMD has released an update to the XT processor either, and the same thing happened with the XT series. Ryzen 3000, which later received the XT update but unfortunately, there wasn’t much to write home about.

AMD’s Ryzen 3000XT processors boosted clock speeds by 100MHz to 200MHz compared to the base models, meaning their performance was largely the same as their counterparts.

The XT parts were released a year later, were very expensive for what they had to offer and were not a huge success, quickly followed by the (much better) Ryzen 5000 series.

The Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 7 8400F are likely to be neglected versions of AMD’s recent APUs, the Ryzen 5 8500G and Ryzen 7 8700G. However, the “F” moniker on the new chips indicates that they will not have an integrated graphics card, although… Reverse the G parts.
