The former head of the “Meretz” party says that “Israel” cannot allow itself to fight on two fronts, while the mayor of the “Kiryat Shmona” settlement, Avichai Stern, confirms that the situation in the north “has become unbearable and is under terrible pressure.”

Israeli media said that the sudden launch of precision missiles from Lebanon on sensitive sites in “Israel” would “give Hezbollah a great advantage once the war begins.”

The Israeli media reported what the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said last night, to the effect that “the resistance possesses enormous and accurate missile capabilities extending from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat.”

The former official in the Israeli Shin Bet, Ilan Lotan, spoke about the war with Hezbollah and the return of settlers to the north.

Speaking to the Israeli Channel 13, he said, “A decision must be made about what we will do. Will Israel go to a political settlement, and then Hezbollah will retreat south, there is no doubt about that,” adding that he does not see any situation in which the residents of the north will return to their homes. “Without a large military battle.”

In the same context, the former head of the Meretz party, Zahava Galon, said that “Israel cannot allow itself to fight on two fronts,” explaining that she meant “the real war.”

She added: “They told us that we are ready to fight in Gaza and we saw what happened. Currently we are not able. Now, there is a kind of assimilation policy. Nasrallah is trying and we are responding.” He said that Defense Minister Yoav Galant’s statements were “unnecessary and not objective.”

She said that the entry of Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot into the Israeli emergency government was precisely aimed at “preventing” the Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, from daring to attack in the north.

The fire-drip war moved from the south to the north

For his part, the mayor of the Kiryat Shmona settlement, Avichai Stern, said that the settlers in the north, after 4 months, “are in an unbearable situation and under terrible pressure.”

Stern wondered what would happen after Gallant’s message, stating that “the Israeli army has risen in rank,” and what followed when Sayyed Nasrallah said, “Our missiles will reach Eilat,” and “Will they evacuate more towns in the north?”

He added: “We have been outside our homes for 4 months. What are the goals in the north? Under what conditions will they return us?”, stressing that “the war of fire, which was in the south, has moved to the north.”

According to what Margaliot Council Chairman, Eitan Davidi, said, the situation in the settlement is “unreasonable, and residents cannot enter and leave whenever they want,” adding: “We cannot maneuver… We hide behind walls when we are in Margaliot.”

The statements of officials in the north reflect this frustration experienced by the settlers, as the head of the Upper Galilee Council, Giora Zaltz, told the Haaretz newspaper, “The government is not with us in this war.”
