After issuing an alert from the United States, for a chinese spy balloon furrowing the airspace, tonight, from the Government it was reported that a second object on Latin America, although they did not specify at what point.
The news was broadcast by international news agencies after the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken to postpone a planned visit to Beijing following the discovery of an alleged Chinese spy balloon in US airspace.
According to China, it is a device “civilian nature for meteorological affairs” which deviated from its original course, in a new diplomatic incident between the two superpowers.
However, officials from the Secretary of State affirmed that there were “un chinese surveillance balloon currently flying over the United States at high altitude, this is a clear and unacceptable violation of American sovereignty,” according to the AFP news agency.
Tonight, Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryder told CNN that they were “Seeing reports of a balloon in transit over Latin America”.
“Now we assess that it is another Chinese surveillance balloon,” he said without giving further details about the location of the device.
The ranking officer in the United States Armed Forces and the top military adviser to President Joseph Biden, Mark Milley, recommended not to shoot down the first balloon that had been detected near Montana since it posed no military threat.
