The universe will thank you for the treatment

Originally appeared in the Blasha column in 2021, later became one of the blog’s favorite posts and somehow didn’t make the transition to the new site. here he is:

It is well known that when the gatherers in the fields of abundance are by your side, you can get almost anything. The only two problems in this case are: a. You have to know how to ask. B. One has to believe in the existence of gatherers in the fields of abundance: energetic beings who are mobilized to help you get through this thing, whatever it is. Many times events happen in my life that people from the side define as “coincidence”, but I know that this is the result of the determined work of the collectors, who will once again have to deal with the lack of proper credit. If it is difficult for you with phrases like “gathering” and “fields of abundance”, maybe you will relate to the approach of Mor Asal (who was a female journalist for 15 years, a writer, a parent’s guide and a companion in personal development processes) who calls this approach: to treat the universe.
She learned this exercise from caller Esther Hicks. It works like this: Do you feel like you’re drowning in the sea of tasks called “life?” You’re probably not doing enough outsourcing. And by “outsourcing” I don’t mean hiring the services of a housekeeper, driver or cook, I’m talking about delegating powers to forces we don’t understand enough: outsourcing to the universe. Excluding the fact that a leap of faith is required here, which is difficult for some of us, especially for control enthusiasts, the operating instructions are very simple and include making a list (making a list! It’s something we love!) of all the things that need to be done today, and then dividing this list into two: on one side, write down the part of the tasks you really intend, need and are able to do today and on the other side will enter the part of the tasks that you would like to achieve but, what to do, you probably won’t have enough. The division, says Asal, should be done honestly and without deceiving yourselves. Are both lists ready? Great, now comes the beautiful part: above the list that you know you won’t get to, write: to treat the universe.
And that’s it, you can let go, it’s okay, the universe will take care of it.
“Things are resolved like this in a miraculous way,” Mor Assal writes on her Facebook: “The one I wanted to call – calls me. What I had to do at the bank – turns out to be done for me. The lecture I didn’t have time to prepare – is canceled or postponed.” Some people find it too spiritual or delusional, but what can I tell you, it’s more delusional to think that you should be able to do everything by yourself.

Tip for beginners:
You may feel comfortable at first handing over to the universe tasks that you know will not be the end of the world if he (the universe) doesn’t get to them today, for example: taking laundry off the line, emptying the dishwasher, booking a vacation for August.
Later, after trust develops between you and your new employee, it will be possible to transfer fateful tasks to the care of the universe.
For example: I have a friend who had to move quickly and urgently with her four children. Since for about two weeks she was not able to find a suitable apartment, she decided to fly abroad to recover and fill herself with energy for the difficult period ahead of her and leave the finding of the new apartment to the care of the universe. The new apartment was found the day she landed back in Israel, tanned and restored. Coincidence you say? Not pretty, give credit.
